The Michelin-starred 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA is one of the highest rated Italian restaurants outside Italy, and there’s no better way to impress your romantic partner than with its five-course degustation menu, which comprises the freshest seafood and meats, and the most divine handmade pastas. A scampi carpaccio with sea urchin is paired with orange cream and green apple, while Wagyu shoulder cut is dressed up with tomato compote, balsamic vinegar and a healthy portion of River Beluga caviar. There’s a choice between two pastas and two meat dishes (pick one each and share, but we highly recommend the signature Wagyu tenderloin and short ribs), and then to finish, a Montebianco or cheese for those who don’t have a sweet tooth. The menu is available with wine pairing, which consists of a number of great Italian and Sicilian choices.
The Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant creates a memorable and romantic experience for you and your partner through its unique interior design and the highest level of culinary artistry. The private dining rooms are ideal for intimate and celebratory occasions between you and your loved one, where you can enjoy a stunning view of the city while experiencing a taste of heritage with Lai Heen’s traditional cuisine amidst a backdrop of Macau’s Chinese and Portuguese colonial past. Be sure to request a table by the window when making your reservation, and order the Michelin Degustation Menu, which includes the best of the fare, from Pumpkin Soup with Bird’s Nest, Hokkaido Scallop and Cereal, Deep-fried Crab Claw Flavored with Chili and Crispy Garlic, and Sautéed Australian Wagyu Beef with Cherry Tomato in Red Wine Sauce. The dishes are traditional enough to be familiar, but with an impressive twist that turns the culinary experience into a memory to savor.
Romance is on the menu in a relaxed environment at Hotel Okura Macau’s Terrace Restaurant, with a surf and turf extravaganza for two. Stimulate the appetite with an aphrodisiac of oysters, followed by a tuna salad “Nicoise” and a hearty lobster bisque. Next comes a slow-cooked salmon with beetroot, and then there’s a journey back to land with a pan-fried tenderloin in red-wine sauce that’ll warm the heart and the stomach. Finish off with the perfect pairing of sweetness and tart in a raspberry and chocolate dessert. As a bonus for early birds, those who book soon will receive complimentary glasses of millésime champagne.
