Organized by Galaxy Entertainment Group, the “Boom and Bloom Exhibition” is a fun, vibrant and inspiring exploration of Chinese culture. With a new take on auspicious Chinese symbols by talented artists from the Greater Bay Area, this exhibition at GalaxyArt is a must-see for the festive season.
The Boom & Bloom exhibition sees the debut collaboration between Mainland artist Ray Chan and Macau-born artist Sanchia Lau, with elements from Ray’s wildly popular “Shake Money Tree” and Sanchia’s “Wishing Doll” seamlessly fused together into Macau first launch colorful creations. Curated by Gary Mok from Hong Kong, this auspicious art journey explores the connection between dreams, cultural values and fulfillment for young audiences to contemplate on popular culture in a contemporary Chinese garden setting with the two creative units. 90s born Sanchia spells out the uniqueness of Macau culture through creation of the Wishing Doll; while 80s born Ray wants to reconnect the dialogue between the younger generation to reinterpret traditional culture and history through Shake Money Tree.
Those colorful main exhibits add on to the joyous festive atmosphere around Galaxy Macau, with exclusive unveilings of three newly commissioned artworks at different phases. There will be a premiere store offering limited edition design by the artists including exclusive merchandise items and blind boxes. Make sure you bring home these unique collectibles! Themed workshops are regularly held to let you try your hands at creating art.
