Galaxy Macau Hosted “Red Mansion Feast” Media Dinner
(Hong Kong and Macau, 23 July 2018) ─ On 20 July, Galaxy Macau hosted an exclusive “Red Mansion Feast” media dinner at CHINA ROUGE to celebrate the launch of the resort’s HuaiYang cuisine promotion. Elite regional media and special guests of honor were invited to enjoy a sumptuous menu sharing the essence of Huai Yang food and culture, prepared by Master Guest Chef Ju Chang Long and Galaxy Macau’s own team of culinary masters – as Galaxy Macau once again proved to be the dining destination in Asia.
The Red Mansion Feast was attended by around 80 leading members of the press from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau as well as Macau government representatives, including Mr. Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of Macao Government Tourism Office. Attending guests also included Mr. Shen Hong Fei, famed Chinese food critic and Chief Consultant on the food documentary A Bite of China, who is joining Chef Ju Chang Long, an authority of HuaiYang cuisine, and Galaxy Macau’s talented in-house chefs to engage in cultural exchange and learn from one another’s diverse gastronomic experience.
The media dinner and the upcoming HuaiYang cuisine promotion at Galaxy Macau are presented in support of the Macao Government Tourism Office’s “2018 Macao Year of Gastronomy”. Galaxy Entertainment Group is making every effort to support Macao as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. Gastronomy is an integral part of Macau’s cultural identity, and this program will serve to enhance Macau’s reputation as a home to innovative culinary developments.
Prepared with excellence and care by Guest Chef Ju Chang Long along with Galaxy Macau’s own culinary talents, the dishes served in the media dinner were inspired by the plot and concept of "Dream of the Red Mansion", with an exceptional selection of distinctive ingredients from Yangtze River; bringing together exquisite flavors and meticulous preparations, to re-live the traditional food and culture. Dishes included Stir-fried Fish Maw and Egg White topped with Baby Hairy Crab Roe; Bird's Nest Soup with Dried Scallops, Shrimp Balls, Quail Eggs and Matsutake; and Braised Abalone with Fish Balls.
Lea Zhang, Vice President of Media Relations, Galaxy Entertainment Group, said, “We are very proud that Macau has been listed as a Creative City of Gastronomy by UNESCO. Food is an important part of cultural identity. As the dining destination in Asia, Galaxy Macau is always pushing to deliver the most delectable and diverse dining experiences to our discerning guests.
