Galaxy Macau Poised to Wow Your Palate With 5 Unique Ingredients Presented in 100 Different Ways
(Hong Kong and Macau, December 6, 2018) ─ Galaxy Macau, THE dining destination in Asia, is concluding the year with an irresistible culinary extravaganza in continued support of the Macao Government Tourism Office to promote 2018 Macao Year of Gastronomy. Following the success of the Northeastern Chinese cuisine and Huaiyang cuisine campaigns earlier this year, Galaxy Macau is set to tantalize discerning guests’ palates with over 100 limited-time dishes, crafted with five specially selected, highly praised ingredients. Don’t miss this two-part promotion, with phase one kicking off from 17 December 2018 to 6 January 2019 and phase two running from 7 January to 3 February 2019.
Aged Xinhui mandarin peel will entice diners throughout both phases. Well known for its nutritive benefits to digestion and cholesterol, mandarin peel brings a versatile, subtle fragrance to enhance many culinary flavors. The longer the mandarin peel is aged, the higher the quality – and peels from the Guangdong district of Xinhui are widely known to be the very best grade available.
From 17 December 2018 to 6 January 2019, phase one of the promotion, Xinhui mandarin peel dishes include Stir-fried Beef Tenderloin with Aged Mandarin Peel and Leek at The Noodle Kitchen; and Steamed Chicken with Aged Mandarin Peel in Lotus Leaf at Pak Loh Chiu Chow Restaurant. In phase two, sample tempting dishes like Roast Duck with Aged Mandarin Peel at Festiva and Steamed Abalone with Aged Mandarin Peel at Fook Lam Moon. During both phases, sip on specialty beverages featuring mandarin peel, including Mandarin Earl Grey at CHA BEI; the Mandarin Macallan cocktail at the Macallan Whisky Bar & Lounge; and Eastern Fashion Cocktail at CHINA ROUGE.
In addition to mandarin peel, Galaxy Macau will showcase two more prized ingredients during the first phase of the promotion. Vietnamese Prawns, imported from sustainable farms in Vietnam, are high in nutrients and renowned to be one of the world’s biggest and tastiest prawns. They will be prepared in 21 ways at 13 restaurants across Galaxy Macau, with a mouthwatering array of dishes such as Vietnamese Giant River Prawn Ceviche with Lemon Dressing and Herbs at Café de Paris Monte-Carlo; Grilled Vietnamese Giant River Prawn with Herb Butter at The Apron Oyster Bar & Grill; Stir-fried Vietnamese Giant River Prawn with Black Bean Paste at Fook Lam Moon.
Coming to Macau for the first time, organic Snowy Mountain Lamb is pasture-raised in Australia.
The meat is well sought-after for its tenderness and rich flavors. Experience it in 18 delectable dishes at 12 Galaxy Macau dining destinations, including Stir-fried Sliced Snowy Mountain Lamb with Cumin at The Noodle Kitchen; Slow cooked Snowy Mountain Lamb Shoulder with Celeriac Puree and Fondant Potato at Terrazza Italian Restaurant; and Herb-crusted Snowy Mountain Lamb Chops, Ruby Potato Sauce and Mosaic of Oils at Belon.
The second phase will emphasize two other supreme ingredients. Don’t miss the Australian Rock Lobster – each weighing in at 25kg and up and freshly imported. Boasting a sweet, delicately firm white flesh with a rich oceanic flavor, it is known as one of the world’s most indulgent food experiences. Taste it in 17 enticing ways across 11 restaurants, such as Slow-simmered Australian Rock Lobster in White Miso Sauce at Yamazato; and Wok-fried Australian Rock Lobster with Fermented Soybean Sauce at Fook Lam Moon.
The free-range yellow-hair chicken enjoys a widespread reputation for its tender, delicious, nutritious meat and crispy skin. Stewed, steamed or simmered, its taste is unforgettable in either Asian or Western dishes. Can’t-miss dishes coming to Galaxy Macau include Braised Yellow-feather Chicken with Abalone and Pickles at Lugang Cafe; and Braised Yellow-feather Chicken with Preserved Pepper and Pickles at Pak Loh.
