It all began in St-Tropez in the summer of 1971. Fred Prysquel, motoring journalist, didn’t find the molding playboy swim briefs of the time to be quite to his liking. To seduce the woman in his life, he designed a swimsuit inspired by surfer’s board-shorts and boxer’s shorts. Following the success that this enjoyed, he set about producing swimsuits.
